Following a stint at age 20 as an on-air DJ for Top 40 radio, Allison continued her work in the music industry as a production assistant for the California Music Awards.
In 2007, Allison worked with numerous music venues in and around Austin, Texas, including Stubbs and the Continental Club. While in Austin she assisted with the production of Austin City Limits Music Festival, Jazzfest, Bonnaroo, Old Settlers Music Festival and South by Southwest.
After first premiering Modulation in 2008 in Bend, Oregon, Allison served as Jefferson Public Radio’s (NPR) Rhythm & News Music Director, and in 2011 she was thrilled to have assisted with sound production for the film “Kadoma.” Each week Modulation’s syndicated programming is broadcast on stations in California, Oregon, Montana and Idaho.
When Allison isn’t recording her show or doing voiceover work, she spends her time running her consulting business, gardening, finding new music, and playing outside with her husband, daughter, and black lab.
“My taste has always reflected the ever-evolving sounds of eclectic music and emerging artists yet I still go back to my early 20’s foundation as a champion of down-tempo and electronic music. Sharing all of these sounds- this is what brings me joy.”
